A Milanese palazzo of Vincenzo de Cotiis

It was two years ago when architect and sculptor Vincenzo de Cotiis and his wife, Claudia, discovered their 18th-century palazzo apartment in the heart of Milan. They fell in love with this place at first sight.
The palazzo stands behind a gate in a quiet street in 10 minutes from the Duomo.
Vincenzo started working as a designer more than 20 years ago and became known for interiors created for high-end stores such as Excelsior Milano and Antonia. Also he is a sculptor and recently he created a limited-edition furniture collection.

Vincenzo de Cotiis likes raw, rough textures that only emphasize the luxury that one can expect from highly designed interiors. His own house is a perfect example of this design.

It took a lot of time to release all this beauty from layers of paint and wallpapers, false ceilings, ugly floor coverings.
Vincenzo managed to preserve the history and atmosphere of the building and create a perfect interior in its imperfection.
