This house in The Hague belongs to the family of Mary Hessing, former editor-in-chief of the Dutch magazine Eigen Huis & Interieur.
It was milk factory before, but 12 years ago Marie’s family bought it, renovated and transformed into a family house.
Marie and her husband Toon restored the house room by room without any constructors or architects.
There are still many untouched details form the industrial past of the house. The owners added some designer pieces, art and bright things to interior. As a result they got an extraordinary interior with many interesting details.
Every year Marie and Toon host a pop-up store during Designkwartier Den Haag. I’m going to visit it coming year.
